Review by hotel critic
As an eco-conscious traveler, my stay at Gästehaus Charlotte in Bayrischzell was a delightful blend of sustainability and comfort. The warm welcome from the owner, reminiscent of childhood vacations in the mountains, set the tone for a memorable experience. The charming country-style accommodation offered spacious rooms with modern amenities, including free WiFi and a cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The hearty breakfast buffet prepared us for a day of outdoor adventures in the stunning Bavarian Alps.Exploring the beautiful countryside, whether through hiking trails in summer or cross-country ski runs in winter, was a true highlight. The proximity to Wasserfall am Parablueweg and Thiersee allowed us to immerse ourselves in nature's beauty. The convenience of ski equipment hire added to the seamless experience of enjoying the slopes nearby, while the option of half board provided a taste of local wines at the wine tavern before venturing out to local restaurants for dinner. The personal touch of the professional host was evident in every detail, from the functional room layout to the inviting lounge where we could unwind after a day of activities. The sauna and garden offered additional opportunities for relaxation, making our stay truly rejuvenating. Despite the short visit, the memories created at Gästehaus Charlotte will stay with us, igniting a desire to return for a longer stay to fully appreciate the tranquility and natural wonders of the Bavarian countryside.
